The publishing landscape has changed and now more than ever is the best time in history to be an author. In the past there was only one way to get published – find an agent; hope he or she would represent you; keep your fingers crossed that they would sell your book proposal to a publisher; trust the publisher to support your book and believe in the project; and hope that readers would go and buy your book.

Today there are many more options, which may seem confusing, but in reality, you are very lucky, because with the many choices you have available, you have the power to control your publishing destiny.
